Adriana de Paiva Franco Ferreira
Ferreira has nearly 20 years experience in the area of translation. With a degree from University of Brasília (UnB), she began her professional career as translator at Unisys Brasil. At this company, she had the opportunity to acquire ample experience in the area of training documentation translation in the areas of telecommunications, networks, image, databases, programming languages and operating systems, among other products (both hardware and software). She participated in the outsourcing of the Unisys translation department, passing the volume of work to a translation company that already existed on the market, of which she became partner. Ferreira served in all the positions included in the company's work cycle, as project manager and coordinator, accounts manager, quality control, marketing and sales, in addition to the recruiting and training of new employees and coordination of teams.

In 1997, she sold her stake in the company, together with the other partners, to the U.S. company LMI – Language Management International, which later merged with Berlitz GlobalNET, a major multination in the sector at the time. Ferreira then began to serve as Director of New Business Development. When the regional office of this last company transferred its activities from Rio de Janeiro to São Paulo in August 2001, 2tr was founded, benefiting from all of the experience and relations established with clients and suppliers over the years.

Jorge Passos Marinho
With a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Marinho has worked in the area of Software Localization since 1993, first as partner of a translation company already existing on the market and responsible for the DTP team. In 1997, he sold his stake in the company, together with the other partners, to the U.S. company LMI – Language Management International, which later merged with Berlitz GlobalNET, a major multination in the sector at the time.

At LMI, Marinho worked as Project Director at the Rio de Janeiro office, and was responsible for the development and implementation of production processes designed to improve quality and reduce project turnover on a global scale. During this period, he accumulated extensive experience and knowledge coordinating large teams formed by project managers and coordinators, translators, proofers, software engineers and DTP professionals for the software localization projects of several different clients, including SAP AG, Corel, IMSI, Lucent, Smithkline Beecham, Sun Microsystems, Datasul, MK Group and HP. At Berlitz, Marinho worked as regional manager of the Rio de Janeiro office, responsible for the results of this office and for production as a whole.

When the regional office of this last company transferred its activities from Rio de Janeiro to São Paulo in August 2001, 2tr was founded, benefiting from all of the experience and relations established with clients and suppliers over the years.

Project Manager

At 2tr, your projects are managed by a single project manager, who first becomes familiar with your company’s culture and monitors all related work, from the evaluation and translation phase to the final delivery. For each project, the manager coordinates the creation of a glossary and style manual, puts together a team with translators, proofers and DTP and quality control specialists, delivers the material in the established format and maintains a file backup.
